Memorial Day Weekend in Orange County

My coach from college golf team was in Orange County/LA last weekend. My 3rd taxol treatment went well and I was up for playing golf, so I flew down there on Friday. Although I haven't played for 6 months, I hit balls consistantly and I was just happy to be able to play! I have been looking forward to this day and finally I did!

I still have one more treatment and follow-up reconstruction surgery. I passed the hardest part of this treatment and I can tell my body is getting stronger so is my mind. It's such a blessing.

not much side effect

My 2nd taxol was on May 1. Well, I didn't have much pain this time. First 3 days after infusion, I have to go to bathroom very frequently and my body aches a little, but I can't call it "pain". My taste buds are off but not as bad as previous medication. I taste food good enough and feel good enough to cook. I will have 3rd treatment this week, May 15. I will probably do fine as well as last time according to my doctor.

I thought May is so far away when I first started chemo treatment in February. My friends keep saying "it's almost done!" yes, almost done. then what? I've been looking forward to finishing treatments so long, but at the same time, I feel comfortable being in treatments because I know for sure nothing bad would happen while I'm under the care. I guess this is the next step I'm going to take. "How am I going to take care of myself?"
